Pricing and quotes
How quickly do I get a price?
You get a preliminary budget estimate as soon as you submit the design. A specialist reviews it and sends a detailed quote within about 2 business days.
Is the estimate the final number?
No. It is a budget figure. Final pricing depends on your location, local codes, and snow and wind load requirements.
What does a kit typically cost?
Most kits fall between $20,000 and $60,000 or more. Garage and storage buildings run from $20,000 to $75,000 or more depending on size, doors, and finishes.
What is included
What comes in the kit?
Engineered plans for your configuration, laminated columns, trusses and framing, steel roofing and siding, trim, and fasteners. Your quote lists exactly what ships.
Is concrete included?
No. Concrete slabs are poured locally. Tell your sales rep if you are pouring a slab so the plans match the foundation.
Do you provide stamped plans?
Basic generic assembly drawings are emailed after payment. Site specific permitting plans can be provided for an additional fee, starting at $2,775 per job. Many localities require site specific plans for a permit.
What warranty comes with the kit?
Coverage comes from the individual components in the kit, so each part carries the manufacturer term for that product. That includes a 40 year metal warranty and a 50 year laminated column warranty. Terms are listed on your written quote.
Delivery and building
Where do you deliver?
Kits are delivered to Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Tennessee, North Carolina, New Jersey, Kentucky. Heritage is based in Virginia.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery is about three weeks from order placement when engineered drawings are not required. Orders that require engineered drawings take longer. Your specialist confirms the schedule on your quote.
How does delivery arrive?
Normally by semi with a 53 foot trailer and a Moffett forklift, so the site needs room for that truck. Straight truck delivery is available by request at additional cost.
Do you build it for me?
Heritage supplies the kit. In Central Virginia and surrounding areas we can refer you to Fundamental Builders at 540-234-8026. Fundamental Builders is an independent contractor, not a Heritage crew. Pricing and scheduling are arranged directly with them. We also support customers who build it themselves.
Do I need a permit?
Most localities require one. Check setbacks, permits, and load requirements with your county before finalizing the design.
