ThermaGuard Insulation & Vapor Barrier

Comfort built into the roof system.

ThermaGuard insulation is included as a standard vapor barrier and radiant heat underlayment in Heritage Pole Barn Kits roof systems.

How it works

Installed on the underside of the metal roof panels, ThermaGuard helps improve building comfort and performance by reducing radiant heat transfer and controlling moisture within the roof assembly. In wall applications, it is available as an optional upgrade for customers who want additional thermal protection in the vertical building envelope.

  • Closed-cell foam core provides thermal resistance
  • Aluminized reflective surface helps reduce radiant heat gain
  • Reinforced backing adds strength and durability
  • Continuous roll format helps reduce seams and air gaps

Roof system application (standard)

  • A radiant heat barrier to reduce heat gain in summer
  • A supplemental thermal layer to improve energy efficiency
  • A vapor control layer to help manage condensation under metal roofing
  • A continuous barrier installed across the full roof surface

Wall system application (optional upgrade)

When added to wall systems, ThermaGuard can provide additional radiant heat reduction, improved interior comfort in extreme temperatures, supplemental moisture and vapor control, and continuous insulation coverage behind metal siding panels.

Built for post-frame buildings

ThermaGuard is engineered for use in metal-clad post-frame structures where managing heat transfer and condensation is critical to long-term building performance. When installed as part of the roof system, it adds an important layer of protection that improves comfort and helps maintain a more consistent interior environment.

Common questions

Is insulation included or extra?

ThermaGuard is standard under the roof steel in every kit. Adding it to the walls is an optional upgrade you can select when you configure your building. Heritage supplies insulation products only and does not provide insulation installation services.
