Good to know
- Engineering services and stamped plans are available for an additional fee. Site specific permitting plans start at $2,775 per job.
- Concrete slabs are not part of the kit. Tell your sales rep if you are pouring a slab so the plans match.
- Delivery normally arrives by semi with a 53 foot trailer and a Moffett forklift, so the site needs room for that truck. Straight truck delivery is available by request at additional cost.
- Heritage supplies the building kit. Electrical, plumbing, septic, HVAC, and interior finish work are not in our scope of work or supply. These items would need to be supplied and installed by your local professional.

Kit and cost questions
Is one kit system really used for all of these buildings?
Yes. Garages, workshops, and multi-purpose buildings are the same post frame construction: laminated columns, engineered trusses, steel roofing and siding. What changes is the size, wall height, door and window layout, and options you configure.
Does the kit price include the concrete slab?
No. Slabs are poured locally and are not part of the kit. Tell your sales rep if you are pouring a slab so the plans match.
Does it include labor?
No. The kit is the building package. Many customers build it themselves or hire their own crew, and in Central Virginia and surrounding areas we can refer you to Fundamental Builders at 540-234-8026.
Are stamped plans included?
Engineering services and stamped plans are available for an additional fee, and many localities require them for permits.
Does the kit include electrical, plumbing, or HVAC?
No. Heritage supplies the building kit. Electrical, plumbing, septic, HVAC, and interior finish work are handled by licensed local professionals once the shell is up.
How does the material arrive?
Your package ships with a detailed materials list at contract, and the load arrives in labeled bundles so you can check everything off as it comes off the truck.
Is financing available?
Many customers use a construction loan or an owner builder loan through their own bank. Ask your specialist when you request your estimate and we will walk you through the options.
